Canada’s New Food Guide

Health Canada has released Canada’s new Food Guide with updated recommendations.

Canada’s Food Guide uses the science of nutrition and health to help you make healthy food choices. It helps you choose foods that improve your health and meet your nutrient needs. These choices can help reduce your risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases and conditions.

Health Canada is currently reviewing whether further guidance is needed for health professionals and policy makers on amounts and types of food for specific populations and settings.

Our resources will be reviewed and revised to reflect the new guidance in the coming months. In the meantime, our resources remain safe, trusted sources of information.
