Overview
A Primary Care Network (PCN) is a community-based network of health care professionals and clinics who plan and deliver the health care needs of a community.
The Victoria Primary Care Network brings together family physicians, nurse practitioners, clinicians, patients, program administrators, Island Health and community agencies to help meet the primary healthcare needs of people living in Victoria. This includes people living in the following communities:
- Downtown Victoria
- Fairfield
- Fernwood
- Gordon Head
- Interurban
- James Bay
- Oak Bay
- Oaklands
- Quadra
- Shelbourne
- Swan Lake
- Tillicum
- Vic West
Find a family doctor or nurse practitioner
If you need a primary care provider, register on the Health Connect Registry to get matched with a family doctor or nurse practitioner in your community. At this time, we cannot offer a specific timeframe for attachment. Access to a family doctor or nurse practitioner in Victoria is limited by the number of providers with capacity to accept new patients.
We are actively recruiting family doctors and nurse practitioners to the region. While we work on solutions to ensure everyone has access to a family doctor or nurse practitioner, we appreciate your patience.
Registering with the Health Connect Registry helps highlight the number of people currently without a provider which informs current primary care planning.
