Overview
A Primary Care Network (PCN) is a community-based network of health care professionals and clinics who plan and deliver the health care needs of a community.
The qathet Primary Care Network team is working with local clinics to help connect people to a primary care provider, either a family doctor or nurse practitioner. This includes people living in the following communities:
- Powell River
- qathet Regional District
- Lund
- Savary Island
- Texada Island
- Tla'Amin Nation

The Health Connect Registry is the primary tool used by healthcare providers to add patients to their practice. Wait times will vary based on each doctor and nurse practitioner's capacity.

Pharmacists are an important part of your health care team and offer a variety of services. They are able to assess and prescribe for 21 minor ailments, prescribe contraceptives, renew prescriptions, and give vaccines.
