The Bella Bella Primary Care Network provides its services on the unceded homelands of the Heiltsuk Nation which are located on the Central Coast region of British Columbia, centered on Campbell Island, in the community of Waglisla (Bella Bella).

Overview

A Primary Care Network (PCN) is a community-based network of health care professionals and clinics who plan and deliver the health care needs of a community.

The Bella Bella  Primary Care Network (PCN) team is working with local clinics to help connect people to a primary care provider, either a family doctor or nurse practitioner. This includes people living in the following communities:

  • Bella Bella
  • Denny Island
  • Heiltsuk First Nation
  • Klemtu
  • Kitasoo/Xai’xais First Nation
  • Ocean Falls

Pharmacists are an important part of your health care team and offer a variety of services. They are able to assess and prescribe for 21 minor ailments, prescribe contraceptives, renew prescriptions, and give vaccines.
