Family Practice Clinic

Find a family doctor or nurse practitioner

If you need a primary care provider, register on the Health Connect Registry to get matched with a family doctor or nurse practitioner in your community.

Kootenay Boundary Division of Family Practice is actively recruiting doctors and nurse practitioners to practice primary care in the region. They use the Health Connect Registry as the primary waitlist for residents seeking a primary care provider. When a nurse practitioner or family doctor has capacity, clinics will accept new patients from the Health Connect Registry. We ask you to please be patient, as it may take some time to be connected with a doctor or nurse practitioner.

While you are waiting to be connected with a family doctor or nurse practitioner, please use the search function above to find primary care health services and support.

For Kootenay Boundary patients without a family practitioner, links to additional resources to support your health care needs can also be accessed through the Kootenay Boundary Division of Family Practice website.

For residents of Kootenay Boundary who don’t currently have a primary care provider, KB Screen provides virtual age-related routine screening for colon, breast, cervical and lung cancer.

Additional Aboriginal health resources

The Circle of Indigenous Nations Society (COINS) supports Indigenous individuals and families throughout the Kootenay Boundary region. A COINS Aboriginal Patient Navigator (APN) is present in hospital settings throughout the West Kootenay and Boundary area to advocate and support a holistic healing journey for Aboriginal people. The Aboriginal Health Coordinator is part of the interdisciplinary care network and is a resource for both health care providers and Aboriginal patients to ensure care is culturally safe, respectful, and effective.
